GT3 Alcanterra Wheel

Is this wheel any thicker than the standard wheel that comes in the C2/C2S? Also, how do you think the charcoal shade of the GT3 wheel, shifter & break lever would look in an all grey interior?

I have grey full leather with red stiching and most people think it looks great. The wheel is not as thick as the thick wheel in my 996gt3. I would like it thicker.

Just to clarify my original question - I am wanting to know if the 997 GT3 wheel is any thicker and softer than the skinny, hard standard wheel in the 997 C2/C2S. Also, isn't the 997 Alcanterra kind of a charcoal color and would it look ok with the standard 997 grey leather?

Not sure but it does seem slightly thicker. I'm curious on the life of this Alcantara. It's my understanding that it wears faster. Someone suggested wearing gloves Is a re-wrap something people have to contend with?

I've sat in one GT3, its alcantara steering wheel seemed pretty thick to me (thicker than a standard leather wheel)... not sure I'd want it any thicker.

No regrets with the standard Alcantra wheel. Any yes, it may be slight "thin," however, the feel of the Alcantra is very nice - a great alternative to the typical leather which gets kind of slippery with age anyway. With driving gloves, the Alcantra will be superior in terms of grip and feel. Also, keep in mind that the Alcantra wheel is part of the "look" of the GT3.
