SrfCity is infamous around these parts
Recommended tire pressure for Cup tires.

Any suggestions for the Michelin Sport Cups? I know what the recommended is but for non-track use is it advisable to go with more pressure especially on the rears? On my 997S PS2's, I was using 36 and 39 and that seemed to minimize outside wear on the rears. TIA.

I run the factory 29/33 and pretty happy with it. Look at the sticker on your door and it'll have the factory recomendation for your GT3 incase it's different for the RS.

Yes, I've noticed the manufacturer recommendations. I was curious if anyone was increasing pressure to maybe get a little more wear out of these tires for street use. I'll keep an eye on the rears and add some if I notice excessive wear on the edges. Thanks.

GT3 pressures

I wouldn't worry about "wear." Your tires will be toast way earlier if you over inflate the tire. The car and tire were perfectly matched - and that includes the rim size that was chosen. The Cup tires are actually stretched slightly to fit into the wider rim. Inflating the pressure higher will negate the designed specs of the tire. Additionally, you will be creating more oversteer during cornering. At perfect tire pressure, the weight on the back end of the GT3 will simply glue you to the ground as designed. I'm running 29f / 31-33r. Anymore than 33 in back and your tires will heat up past their ideal running pressure.

OK, thanks for the info. Jeez, I decided to check out the priceing on the Cup tires at Tirerack and almost fell off my chair. $316 for the fronts and $524 for rears. That's around $2G's for a set. Cough, cough..... Maybe I need a sponsor
