997 GT3 Pics

Next week I'll put on the clears. The spoiler lip just looks shinny - now it's scraped a bit.
Also, in a week I'm going to have the roll bar and seats installed - I'll post pics (I haven't seen any of the new 997 roll bar).
I'm also rigging up a garage door opener to a dummy homelink switch. I'll let you know how this works. Gonna be going to summit point and the glen in May - can't wait.
Drove the car today in 37 degree weather. No problems. Tried to get the back end to move around a little to explore the handling. Yesterday I went to a parking lot in the freezing rain and tried to practice some controlled oversteer in a circle. It seemed that the mechanical limited slip was in control of my deliberate provication. I didn't see the electronic traction lights in my display at all - what a relief! Pure handling. I did notice some rear squat and wiggle at around 90+ mph when I was shifting into 4th on the highway - nothing scarry, just a new feeling (this is my first PASM car).

U running the MCPS facory tyres? Those must be fun in the cold I veen have to warm them here...I did some driving with the TC off and the rear seems to free up in striaght line acceleration runs...

Yes. I was running the Pilot Sport Cups that came on the car. If I really "flogged" it I could get the rear to slip out and spin the car around - but under deliberate, controlled oversteer, the car seemed very easy to control and made my inputs very intuitive. In this regard I believe that the steering gives great feedback and allows for good finese and counter-steer. 1st and 2nd gears have lost some of their initial notchiness, but 3rd is still a bit rough (some of that may have been the cold weather). I'm also not to used to reading the oil temp gauge. Is there an optimum or minimal oil temp at which I can assume that the engine is "warmed up" properly. I never let the car idle to warm up - I simply drive off slowly and let the engine and tranny warm up together for the 1st 8-10 minutes or 1st few miles.
