Nice vid, thanks for sharing
Pretty impressive that the M5 could hold its own pretty well on the track, it is afterall a heavy car

I was most impressed that the GT3 got some space between it and the M5 on the straights!! Curiously, the M5 would catch the GT3 under braking at the end of the long left hand straight. The M5 driver would loose it in the same spot on the track on each lap

I would have loved to have seen this battle on the old ring configuration with the super long straights through the woods

I got the feeling that the GT3 was holding off a little in the turns (not going as deep as it could), while the M5 was going all out in some of them to catch up, getting off track at times with the rear.

I think the gT3 could have been driven a little more aggresive, and I don't think the M5 would have had enough to keep up as it did in the vid

Just my 0.02

Mike

Isnt it because Gt3 would come out of corner first and nail it while M5 is still ina turn, plus i think its all about rpm range and gearing?

Im not the best specialist tho just an idea.

There is no need to try and figure out why the M5 kept up, that is all driver ability/aggressiveness in this case.

I think the GT3 guy must have been driving at 6 tenths.

The GT3 is a near race car afterall, and the M5 is really just a big pig wearing Nikes in comparison.
