When do you need a new battery?

My GT2 has a dead battery. It was replaced less than a year ago at the dealer. I've tried to jump the car with my Lexus GX 470 without luck.

Any suggestions? a tow truck with more cranking amps? or just a new battery? Thanks

why dont you take the battery to a local shop and have them test it.

I've had my original battery in my GT3 since 9/2003. I use a battery tender when car is not in use.

if it can't be jumped, have it replaced. the battery has a 2 yr warranty if it was purchased from p dealer.

Same happened to my GT3. Battery dead, won't charge and barely jumped. Added water but no luck. Got a new one. Cells were damaged on the old one.

Always use a battery maintainer if you don't drive it much. Battery life is 4-5 years with daily use and reduced if it's not daily.

I wouldn't recommend jumping your GT2 or any TT. The computers don't seem to enjoy it.

Why not just charge it up to full and let it sit for 6 day. If it starts the battery is probably good. If it dies every week you will need a new battery.
