ps. did you see that the instruments in the z06 were flashing all the time?

funny that the only reason the z06 can win is because its cheap. given a competent GT3 driver, it would have lapped faster too. also, a lot of the tests you see these days with the GT3 and z06, they seem to swap who laps faster. but then again, the GT3/RS won the best handling car in two comparos and lapper over 1.5 seconds faster than the z06 in both.

"The Porsche 911 GT3, to me, is perfect. I wouldn't change anything. I like the engine, the handling, the [ceramic] brakes. This is the car every race driver would like to have on the rack. It's neutral and has a wide powerband, the brakes are stable, it's well balanced, it has good traction. It's perfect." Angelelli also admitted that even with all his experience, he probably only probed 85 to 90 percent of this car's astounding limits, and he opined that its behavior probably becomes unpredictable at the limits-especially under power. When asked whether a Cayman with the same engine, brakes, and tires wouldn't be better still, he fretted about its less rigid chassis. We'd sure love the chance to try that option.

The Vette did beat the GT3 by .5 seconds on a technical track and with run flat tires vs. the GT3 on cup tires. So it didn't beat the GT3 by only being Cheap.
I'm guessing the twichiness they felt with the GT3 is a matter of getting a proper alignment.
Two of the last 3 times I was at a track, a Z06 had to be flat bedded off with electrical problems that shut down the system. It's too bad. The car is incredibly fast, but not very reliable when on track.
