Enjoy the car. My car has a bunch of options...who cares? Let the others get their panties in a bunch while you enjoy everything the car has to offer.

I find it that people in the paddock talk about the nav screen and the options in the car, saying it's "supposed" to be a strict track vehicle.

Get on the track and let's find out how much slower my optioned GT3 is...

Moral: just have fun! Optioned cars can be FAST too...driver skill more than takes up for the few pounds these options weigh. And let's not even mention what happens if you take a passenger along for a ride!

Congrats and enjoy that beast.

opinions are like a$$ holes...everyones got one. But then again, that's what this Board is all about...end of the day, the only important thing is you dig the car...full stop.

Steve,

Welcome to our "little corner on the internet!" Glad I was able to help you find your baby! Now when you get her, you'll have to officially introduce yourself to these guys. I won't say how yet but I think you'll find out soon.

Steve - I was the guy drooling all over your C2S @ the PR Alfa last November lapping day with the S2000.

Now I have a C2S but I'll be major league envious of your GT3.

Make sure and sell it to me when you're done with it because I like a highly optioned GT3 and really wouldn't ever consider a Turbo.

Congrats!

Hey,

Nice post.

One could say that most on this forum in new or used cars paid more than they had too...these are all luxury items unless one uses the car to generate a majority of one's income....

Have fun. Life goes fast. So I like my car to do so also. :-)

But due to the already high price due to the options on the car, it would be very difficult to justify anything over sticker because that would have put them into a territory that would have not only been frowned upon by customers, but more importantly, probably the likes of PCNA.
Local Connecticut Dealer responded to my inquiry about its 2008 GT3 allocations.

He said I could be #1 for $50,000. Options or not. Regardless of MSRP.

$50k for a guarantee.

Sad that the original poster can not even reply to his own thread because he is still in "moderation".

Carlos, thanks for chiming in. So you're saying had it been a stripped model instead of a well optioned car, you guys would still have sold it at MSRP? Did you sell all of your GT3's at MSRP? If you did, that is HIGHLY commendable and worthy of respect and good business practice (even though, that's what I think all dealerships should be doing to begin with). If that's the case, are you willing to say that you guys will sell the upcoming 997 GT2's regardless of option packages at MSRP?
