Is this correct?
yes, kind of. But as JASCLASS (justin) correctly pointed out to me, the GT3 and RS models didn't have launch cars, so why would the GT2 have one ?

we'll see how it plays out...but I'm convinced it will be limited in numbers.

Thanks RufMD. Let's hope it will be limited numbers, and I think you'll be proven right. Justin makes a valid point as well.

if the trend keeps up...there should be very limited numbers. thats the way it should be...if it were up to me, no more than 1250-1500 worldwide total production, if that.

I was told by my local dealer there will be only 70 NA GT2's for 2008....this from the regional Porsche GM who provided them their single allocation for April 2008.

I also heard the 70 cars for 08 #. A good friend of mine called Bert Smith Porsche in St. Petersburg FL 2 weeks ago and got their only allocation. Nobody was on the list at all. He paid $2k and will have to pay another $3k when they are ready to spec it out.

Visualize please....

997GT2 flies by and then count
1, 1000
2, 1000
3, 1000

And THEN

the 997TT comes in.
Yeah but 3 seconds at the ring (nearly an 8 min. course) is way different than 3 seconds at Lime Rock. Agreed?
