GT3 - need a solution for fitting a harness

I have a GT3 with no cage fitted.
the rear seat space is very handy at ideally would be retained.
i have the 2 piece seats with the side airbags.

to get the right lateral support etc.., i need a race seat and harness.
i would propose to put the race seat in only for track events

the options are:

a. fit a half cage (factory or GMG which looks even better)
b. fit a harness bar that is removable (any suggestions?) connecting the B pillars
c. fit a more extensive harness bar (see http://www.bkauto.com/porsche/r1030.php) - they claim the 996 mounting points are the same as the 997. does anyone have any experience with these? how long to fit? easy to remove? quality? pics?
d. fit the seat and put some belt anchor points on the rear parcel shelf. i havent checked yet whether the mounting points for seats or baby seats are in the car (if they are, these could be used)? tihs would be the simplest option?

i would be interested to know what others have done?

while i am here, id like a recommendation on a race seat.
budget considerations are secondary (but not totally irrelevant)

safety devices have a roll bar with a removabl harness bar. this may help with access to the rear. under the rear shelf is too far for a mounting point for the harness to work properly. a roll bar is the way to go.

as for seats recaro pole position in leather/alantara looks very similar to the 997 gt3 club sport seat but it is only $1000 USD.

I had the factory half cage put in my GT3 and to my good surprise the rear legs go to the rear shocks. It bolts to the top of the shock tower and it really provides structural rigidity to the car. All other bars are just bolted to the tube. It is more expensive but it is better.

The factory half cage is different because the bars which run to the back bolt to the rear suspension, the top of the shock. This provides great rigidity to the chasis. Other bars just bolt to the tube. Also the other bars leave a prominant gap between the hoop over head and the roof contour. The Porsche system is in there tight. As said, the structural stiffness is noticeable the moment you drive it. The GMG bar is nice but not the same at all. I got the factory cage from Champion Motorsport. Cost is more, approx. $2750. Install is not easy due to the tight fit. The bullsh_t sunroof is the issue since the RS's have no sunroof.

Hey YSS check out the thread presently on page 1 by Millaracing. They show you the entire factory 1/2 cage. You'll see the bolting rear part to the suspension pick up points.

There are anchor points on the top center rear. Under the precut carpet.
