My cousin brought his LP640 to work today. At lunch he showed me a small retractable fin at the rear of the car. He had never noticed it before until today when he was driving. The fin popped up while he was driving it this morning. It never happened before. He wanted me to post a thread about it to ask any of you what it is. I would appreciate the feedback.

It comes up automatic, but what for. He's had the car a year and today is the first time he saw it.

 

Downforce. It pops up to 50 degrees over 80 mph, and 70 degrees over 130.

If he's had the car a year and never seen that before, tell him to stop driving it like a girl.

You can't really see the flap from the drivers seat ... and I never drive below 130 and power launch the car from every stop

The flap he's talking about is a little rear wing in the middle of the rear.

 

Has your brother never seen the display light up when the spoiler goes up..
