What is the BEST power producing Gallardo Intake Kit? Exhaust?

Hey guys. I came to tentative terms on buying a 04' G, so I am now buying all the power parts for the car. I already have the wheels, and I am going to buy the Fabspeed Cat Bypass pipes for sure, as Hawaii doesn't have emissions testing...

I am trying to figure out which intake kit & exhaust to buy. Does anyone know which ones are the best? Can you guys rank them in order from best to worst as far as producing power, and can you guys notate which ones actually have a negative overall effect on a G powerband? (I wanna avoid those)

I am initially leaning to Fabspeed sport mufflers, Fabspeed Red Silicone Intake Hose kit & AFE Original Equipment replacement panel filters....

I saw the DUB Intake Kit for $1300.00 & Gruppe M Intake Kit I think is $3500.00 or so... any other kits out there?

I currently want to run the fabspeed cat bypass pipes & secondary valve bypass pipes in addition to the mufflers and intake hoses... I can't think of anything else to run, except for maybe a reflashed ECU...

How much HP @ the wheels should I expect from a complete breathing system upgrade on an 04 G? Sorry for so many questions, but I wanna do this right the first time around... Less expensive that way...

Im running a Tubi, here are my dyno results, with air filter, no air filter, I just bought an OC hi flow filters to replace the stock. I think you are on the right track with ECU upgrade, etc, dont know that much about the cat bypass increasing or decreasing HP, you might want to try the other forums like lambopwer, etc. Here is a link for another dyno I found with someone with an OC exhaust, less torque than mine but a couple more HP. Dyno it first for a baseline! Here is also a youtube I shot of my dyno...I also have the same questions with other types of intake's....cheers..

For exhaust we suggest Tubi Style & are an authorized dealer, we offer FabSpeed as well

In terms of intake, Gruppe M http://www.autotalent.com/product_in...fc501ab160eca2

The gruppe M intake looks pretty cool!, can you post the dyno results with tubi (or stock) so we can compare how much the Hp/torque improve..thanks

Gruppe M and Cargraphic are probably going to be the same for power increases, its just going to be a matter of preference. I like both of them equally, and Cargraphic actually uses an Edo Competition intake.

Fabspeed Gallardo Products

Alright guys, i'm posting a sneak peak of our carbon fiber exhaust on the 2007MY Gallardo. I'm rendering this video in HD as we speak, but here is a little clip in non-HD codec. More information and dyno results will be posted shortly. Also that Murci you see is undergoing a custom catbypass setup with muffler bypass pipes.

Hey Fabspeed cool looking exhaust! sounds good also! what are the dyno results? And setup? You did the dyno on youtube so posting results should not be a problem..... Also Speedplay and Dynamic Motoring, please post dyno results of the intake systems you guys recommend... Fabspeed, Cargraphic, Gruppe M..etc..Im not spending any money until I see proven results....thanks..

The intake setup alone wont give any major gains in power. A friend of mine and Autotalents did 437 rwhp in his G SE and 445 rwhp after intake and straight pipe exhaust. They dynoed a few times each, and we estimated the gains were closer to 20 rwhp. This was also on the more powerful SE, so the gains werent as good as they would be on a standard G.

Thanks DynamicMotoring for the info, intake does make a difference (see my dyno numbers with filter and without) albeit not much. Since no one has posted any dyno sheets its hard for me to determine if it would be cost effective, I would think the ECU reflash might be more cost effective. If you would like me to dyno your intake perhaps we could work something out, I already have the baseline dyno done and posted.

Yeah, I think we could work something out, as Im curious myself as to the real gains. Im still skeptical on ECU tune, as people make claims but have nothing concrete to show for it.

So i'm assuming the intakes don't yield much gains (they usually don't on any car) but does it add any significant sound or throttle response?

norcal2 - The Tubi sounds insane!

1) bore out your throttle bodies (speed gallery) almost 20hp
2) gruppe m intake gives you 10hp
3) exhaust, (fabspeed, or the OC) ive dynoed the tubi and lost power in some areas, and gained none everywhere else, but it was the best sounding exhaust of all the 4 exhaust i have tried. 12hp on the OC & fab
4) i've heard 04-05 cars can do an ecu and have gains, i tried the ecu chip/flash on my 06 no gains.
5) lanari cat bypass a must with the exhaust. i did not test it alone but i had gained more combined with the exhaust.

everything i listed above are proven gains, that i have baselined and dynoed. so yes these are hard numbers. sorry i do not know where the dyno sheets are but they use to be on the net somewhere on a lambo website.

my opinion, is even with all these gains, it was so nominal, a week later you dont even notice you have gained anything. it's like having an NA 996 and doing all the **** to it and realizing it was a waste of money and you'ld never do it again and instead just buy a turbo. 50 hp is something you can feel the minute you gain it, but its so minor you can barely tell the difference. just do an exhaust so you have a great sounding car.

"norcal2 - The Tubi sounds insane!" Thanks daedalus! Its nice to see a fellow NSX'er,

Don Relentless, which Lambo boards did you post your dyno results?, I am on a few boards I might be interested in a couple of the mods, thanks for the info..
