Gallardo Spyder Superleggera? hmmm.....
I was thinking it over, I remember somebody did a Ferrari Challange Stradale Spider, but when I thought about it closely I figured that somebody could just as easily make a superleggera spyder if they had the right people who could do the job. After alot of research (yes, I am out of school now so I have ALOTTT of time on my hands) the only parts that could not fit without remolding or custom fabrication is the interior carbon fiber door panels due to there being a small tab on the top of the door near the rear, and the rear engine bonet, i figured most likely you could send out the spyder bonnet to have the center area made of carbon fiber. But I am not just talking about the exterior, I am talking about interior, and engine, just everything that make the superleggera different than the other g-cars put on the spyder. but what I think is least practible on this project is that most likely with the excess amount of parts that you would need from a superleggera, you would have to buy a superleggera and a spyder and take all the parts off the superleggera and put it on the spyder. Overall, once its all said and done, the project should cost about $700,000. But hey, you would be the only one in the world with one. can anyone tell me otherwise if it isnt possible? share your comments on my idea.
but couldnt you make the spyder lighter? thats what i'm thinking, I really dont mind about the weight, but if the super L is made for that purpose then the weight should go on the spyder, you could even do coustom stuff to make the spyder lighter after the super L mods, like carbon driveshafts etc....
Since the SL is designed for the track, not only does adding the extra weight of a folding top add to this, but you also remove one of the most important aspects of the car and that is the chassis rigidity. Yes, you can add more supports to the chassis to help compensate, but then again, you add more weight. Probably the easiest and least expensive thing to do is take a normal G Spyder and gut out all extra weight using the same changes as the SL... Also, I would trash the folding top and substitute with a Carbon shell as done with some convertible vipers as seen here:

Sign up for some summer classes.
Or maybe find a wrecked superleggera......and the chances of that???
Personally, it would be a super uniqure idea, but i say SUPER because you would have to be SUPER crazy to do it.

Interesting idea but like most said it would defeat the purpose of a SL. Plus there's no way in hell it would cost you $700K to do it. Figure maybe $200K (at the very most) in custom work on top of a G Spyder and you're at maybe $4-500K.
well actually, if you do buy 2 brand new lambos, a spyder e-gear 255,000, and a super L 240ish. then thats right there already 500ish K.
