07 Gallardo whistling sound???

As a few of you here know, I traded in my 997tt for a 07 Gallardo Nera. I picked it up about a month ago and have had the windows closed since I got it. Well, about a week ago I started driving a bit with the windows down and I am noticing a type of air, whistling noise under light accelaration. When you nail it, it goes away. But when you take off slow in any gear at any speed I am hearing a air, whistling noise coming from the air intakes. Is this a normal thing?? I went to Manhattan motor cars here in the city and they told me its normal.. I am finding that hard to believe. They said that in 06' they changed the throttle body and air box and thats the reason why.

Does anybody else with an 06 or 07 hear this or am I just going crazy!!

Ive heard it in several cars. Its pretty normal. You could get new airboxes and that will cover up the sound.

Normal

Totally normal. Same as my 07 Spyder. I talked to Lambo OC when I first heard it and they said no problem. I think at one point they made a small bracket for another customer to help break up the air and remove the whistle.

It doesn't bother me, so if it doesn't bother you don't worry about it.

You'll hear that even on the earlier cars - It's simply the air squeaking by the throttle bodies under light acceleration. You also hear it quite clearly with the windows down because the air intakes are those vents above the rear wheels facing forward.

If it bothers you, just press harded on the gas pedal - It's more fun that way anyway.

I have a similar noise in mine but I'd swear it sounds more metallic. Is what you all are talking about?

To me it also sounds metalic. But according to Manhattan Motor cars its NORMAL!! I just feel better now knowing that I am OK with that noise. Whenever I take someone for a ride I tell them that noise you hear is the Turbos..
