Gallardo. Had for 3 yrs ..
I am new to the posting but have been watching 6 speed for 18odd months.
Here are a few shots of my Lambo that I bought for my 45th 3 yrs ago.
Having been a Porsche fan ( and still) since I was a teenager and an owner for the last 8 yrs I wanted to step up. I actually had my mind set on a 360 Modena and hadnt seriously thought I was a candidate for a Lambo,. Didnt know anyone with one, had never been in one let alone driven one. Well looking for a bigger hit than a new Porsche I went on the trail of 360's. I met a guy who was getting out of his 360 and the Lambo he had just bought! From that moment all I wanted to know about was the Lambo. I had never met anyone with one for sale either. He said it was orange and an egear with orange stiching, a clear engine cover, racing exhaust and from what I remember, at that moment my knees went weak and I was paralized.
The private seller asked me if I wanted to see it and take it for a drive.
DONE! I still remember it coming down the road 3 years ago like your bride walking down the isle. I was GONE. The drive in the Lambo was amazing. I thought my GT3 was an 8 out of 10. It just went down to a 5. The engine note and cabin noise and experiance was spine tingling. I couldnt bring myself to say no. I didnt have it in me. My wife and adult children were right into it. Well maybe not my wife. She loves it now. The seller rang me the day after I drove it where I confimed I will buy it, he said to come and pick up the Lambo and fix him up the following week with the money. DONE. I think I was the most excited I have been in my life.
Well after 3 years and well over 30,000km its very much my baby. 1 clutch and tyres and nothing other than standard servicing. Its a celebrity..unless you have a lambo its hard to explain. The local Lambo mechanic even rings me and wishes me Merry xmas etc.
One of the below shots is in Ayres Rock NT in the middle of Australia where we freighted our cars out to the long open public roads when NO SPEED limits were in place. Are now. Saw 310km/hr. If you thinking of buying a Lamborgini Gallardo. DO IT! Some things are good for your soul.
