Oh, oh well. That is the first 6 speed SL I've ever seen. I didn't even know they came in 6 speed.

If your going to TT it, they rebuild the motor anyway so getting a relatively high mileage car should not be an issue. Also, might as well stick the newest sintereted clutch revision in there so it'll hold up to the power.

If I were you, I'd buy the cheapest, most ragged on car I could get.

Like above said, it gets rebuilt anyway, so why pay a premium for parts that will get swapped out?

Just as an aside, has anyone seen a 6-speed LP-560? I would love to drive one. I have driven 3 Gallardos including an Sl all of wich were E-Gear.

Lamborghini says that 90% of all cars sold are e-Gears. In addition, the 560 charges an ADDITIONAL price if you want a 6 speed instead of an e-gear. And... on top of that, the e-gear in the 560 is freaking awesome. They say it's a huge improvement over the G (which, is really awesome already) on shifting speed... the 560 is leaps and bounds faster then the G and even SL -- there's no reason to not get the e-gear IMHO.

I have a DSG car as a daily driver and I do love it but I have to say I REALLY enjoy the 6 speed in my G I would not have wanted the E gear.

I've been told there are 17 6 speed SL's in the US. They were never part of dealer stock, so they could only be ordered that way. I've seen 4 on sale on ebay at various times. One sold from Lambo or portland a while ago. Good luck finding one.

because one might own a nut sack with a fully functioning set of ***** and is capable of shifting his own gears because hes not a poser that just bought the car to show off and can actually drive it??
JMHO though

LOL to the full ******* No wrinkles! I'm pondering same thing (UGR SL 6-sp), but am still confused with other options (FGT/Viper/LP560/etc.). Drove a CS finally and while amazingly raw, it needs at least 100 more HP and a left-pedal.

Check Lambopower for more info on the E-Bay car.
