Lambo has nothing to worry about. The car was beautiful, fast, and extremely use able, but I could not see anyone cross shopping this car and the Gallardo. The Audi made fast feel very business like, with very little exhaust noise and no major kicks in the power band.

I think it would make an awsome everyday driver, but would not excite me the way my G does.

Kudos to Audi for building a beautiful car, but she is no threat to lamborghini

The G 560 is a monster, I havent driven the R8 yet, but wondered how it would stack up against the 09 G.

There is a yellow merci that is running around in the area as well as a yellow G spyder.
Both of those are driven by men in their mind 40-50's. I'm the young guy with the mo hawk. I blame the car for the hair cut. I was so conservative before this car made me feel like a rock star

Next time you see me just beep. I'll pull over because I love talking cars with real car guys.

As for the R8, it was a test car. Audi has a testing facility in clearwater. Performance wise I'm sure the LP and the R8 are close but emotion wise they share nothing in common. I doubt either buyer would really cross shop the other so I guess it won't matter. If I were a guy that wanted a supercar that was going to fly a touch under the radar and I was sick of porsche's I would buy the R8. As for me I've just getting my feet wet with cool cars and I like a little flash for now.

I never thought that the R8 was really a competitor with the G. IMO, it always felt like it was more of a Porsche competitor than a Lambo.

i have to agree, I honestly think the car is competing with the 911 turbo and they are actually very similar in their character. Its just amazing how a car sharing so much with the Gallardo can feel so different
