Looking to jump into a Gallardo. Any concerns in picking up an 04/05 or should I lean towards an 06? Also e-gear or manual? I have always preferred a manual, however, don't mind e-gear. I will consider this to be a new daily driver, my commute is only 5 miles each way. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

04's and 05's are completely fine with a egear ECU software upgrade. Everything can usually be sorted out with minimal cost. the clutches in the 04 egears usually ware out faster depend on driving habits. if the clutch was replaced with a later revision and you have the updated egear ecu upgrade then you don't have anything to worry about. gallardo's are rock solid

 

If you're going for an 04/05 i'd suggest you get a 6 Speed. I owned an 04 6 speed and had zero's issues. Make sure all the campaign's are up to date.

 

I just bought an 04 6 speed...love the car...so far so clean...brakes do squeal and get very annoying...get ready t spend 600 on EBC pads all around

There is a slight HP difference between the 04 and 06's also interior fit and finish on 06-08 cars is noticably better
