depends on the OP's budget...for high 80s, there won't be many if any in the 06 range

06 are running 105-120k range. most are around 115-120k actually.

04 and 05 are priced around 85-95k. nothing wrong with 04 but 06 is better for sure. if the car checks out and has a good service and clean warranty history, i'd not hesitate.

there's nothing with 04 g's. the #1 thing is make sure you have the latest EGEAR ECU SOFTWARE loaded.

Only thing that would stop me from buying one is the ridiculous maintenance prices that I have been reading about...can anyone verify how they are on maintenance??

I don't see why anyone would post false maintenance prices.

They're just like women. The pretty ones cost the most to maintain.

From my research no one has complained about cars breaking or needing more than usual maintenance...however, you can't expect to take a lambo to a dealer for an oil change and pay the same for a honda...then again, imo, most of us "car guys" should be doing them ourselves anyway vs. paying hundreds to the stealership...

Porsche wanted close to $300 for an oil change (altho easiest oil change i ever did )...a ridiculous maintenance price compared to a normal $30 one...so the reference point would be similar when comparing to a lambo...

I would look at the 06 and over

why? the 04s don't have the front lift kit; plus, the 06s got the upgraded ECU software, which is a must for the E-Gear variety

As for maintenance, if you have a good tuner who is reasonable (and I have two), it is no more expensive than maintaining a p-car

FYI -- if your G breaks, the prices for replacement parts are pretty steep; that is, unless your tuner does not know where to get parts
