Question Lambo murciegalo vs F430

Is an F430 so much better than a Murcielago? The Lambo's are readily available, right?

one is a numb AWD porky pig with crappy gearing while the other is a lightweight RWD drivers car full of feedback. they really don't (or shouldn't) compete with each other.

Murci is for show (wouldn't mind owning one) while Gallardo is a true performer (Lambo wise) IMO. i'd buy the G and pocket some money.

The F430 may not be easy to get ahold of. Keep hearing of waiting list horror stories at various F dealerships. The Murci on the other hand ...

But I will second or third the fact that the they are 2 different cars. One is tossable big hp Go-Kart, the other is a big spectacular GT.
Personally, I wouldn't skip the V12 ... but it's just me!

The Murcielago is a Supercar, the 430 is not. The Porky pig, still handed the 360CS its *** on both the Nurburgring and Hockenheim. The gear on the Murci is superb, the gearing on the Gallardo is slightly too high, not the Murci. The NUMB feeling you speak of, can also be somewhat transended to the Gallardo, not the Murcielago. Also, anyone who thinks that a Gallardo is as quick as Murci, think again. I put that to the test a week ago, and its worlds appart.

Murcielago has the flash/presence. Scissor doors. Big. Wide. Low.

Ferrari has F1 genetics all up in it. Symphony sound. Raucous. Unparalleled feel. The name Ferrari.

You can't go wrong. Putting down either one of these cars is pure drivel.

it's surprising to hear you defend lambos allan :-) even if the merci has a schitload more power than the CS and therefore produces better "times", that doesn't negate the fact it's a sad (computer driven) drive compared to the more go kart oriented fcars which requre some skill. different strokes but you'll never catch me buying an AWD audi with the silly weight they put on those things. i prefer sports cars.

Dude, do you have an idea what you talking about ? I didn't think so.
"go cart oriented Fcars", "more power...better times", how pathetic.
I could run circles around you and your "go cart feel" CGT all day long with a rental toyota corola on any track any time rain or shine.
Murcielago is head and shoulders above any Gayrari, not because it's faster on or off track nor because it cost more but because it's the pinnacle of the human desire for supreme performance matched with out of this world design.
F430 is a nice car, just like the 996TT I own It's good for what it's worth, a reasonably good sports car just like it's predecessor the 360, no mas.
Please give the murcie credit where it's due !

The F430 is more of a comparison with the Gallardo in price, and model lineup. The Murcielago would be comparable to a Ferrari 575M w/ GTC handling package (and then some). I would probably take the Murc. over the 575 (though it would be close), but I would definitely take the F430 over the Gallardo.

I would respect your opinion if it was based on a first hand experience driving both vehicles in similar conditions for a reasonably long period of time.
Case in point: since you haven't had this experience yet (at least not with the 430) I will call your statement prejudjmenthal, cheer leading-Ferrari biased-my 2 cents kind of opinion.

Take a Guess.......

That's right, I haven't.
Do I need to drive one to be able to compare with Gallardo or 996TT ? yes I do !

Do I need to drive one to compare with a murcie or KIA Sephia for that matter ?...I don't think so..

Well, it's a good thing you let us know we don't need to respect your opinion, this could've turned into one helluva flame war if we did have to.

Where did you see me saying the Gallardo is better than the F430 ? I didn't say that b/c I don't know.
The Murcie and 430 are not comparable, period.
That was my whole point.

go-kart- shmo-kart BS was the uber-genius punch line that set me off.
