Titan Gallardo takes a few hot laps around Sebring International Raceway

Brandon Connelly and Peter Tromboni snapped these great pictures of our Gallardo Twin Turbo at Sebring International during the inaugural FCRA event. We invited accomplished driver and coach Jon Miller took the car out for 10-12 hot laps, with over 850hp on tap on 93 octane the car was exceptionally fast on track. We were able to achieve great cornering speeds with the Toyo R888s on the car, and managed to hit 185mph entering the braking zone for turn 17, a speed rarely seen at Sebring aside from LMP cars. The factory brakes weren’t happy stopping the car from such speeds, so a pad upgrade will be in the cars future for future track outings. After a day in the heat we couldn’t be more happy with how the car performed and look forwards to more track testing at Sebring in the near future. The heat, varying pavement conditions, 3 long straights, and plenty of treacherous corners throughout it’s 3.7 mile length make it the
perfect place to take a car like this to it’s limits and gather valuable data.

nice looking gallardo. Is it just me or does the bumper not look aligned properly (uneven gap between the bumper and hood).

Very nice Nero. It's great to see you guys put this beast on the track and in extreme conditions. I've not seen any other TTGs on a track like Sebring.

It would be great to see some lap times. I'm sure they are impressive if you're blasting down the back straight into turn 17 at 185. Yikes! Curious about the rest of the course performance.

Congrats!

Very cool. I love the road course but I know the factory steel brakes on a TTG would be over matched by the speeds that the car can acheive.

Thanks for sharing.

What kind of lap times did you get with Jon driving the car?

Stock brakes, even stock pads. So if we were to get more serious at a minimum a pad upgrade is needed. Jon was very cautious with the setup and did a lot of early braking. He estimated a 2.25 and said it was the fastest car he's had on track. It was blazing hot out when we went, so i can only imagine how great the time's could be if we got serious.

Just went out there to have some fun and test the TTG setup in extreme conditions. It did fantastic.

Yes they are P40's in Gloss Black

Nice job Nero. Would love to hear how the factory brake setup fared on the track.

We didn't have a traqmate in the car unfortunately. To be brutally honest, we drove down to the event to hang out with some friends who were driving, and were given the opportunity to take the car out on track, so by no means did we have a "track prep" done to the car ahead of time other than our normal maintenance schedule. I should also point out that this car lives on R888s on the street, so we fortunately had a decent tire for the road course.

After a few laps we used to the Stopwatch method just to get an idea of time and were in the 2:25 range on a few laps. To put things into perspective though, we were braking for turn 17 about 200-300 feet before the markers as there wasn't much confidence in the stock brakes at that point. We where running around on the infield with a well driven '10 GT3RS on Michelin Blues, and passed him on the straight. With a pad upgrade and some additional setup time I'd imagine we could crack a 16-17 at Sebring.
