Gallardo Replacement
Hi Guys,
I am considering buying a car and could use some guidance.
I was going to push the button on an R8 V10 but then I realised it is essentially a cheaper LP560. i then said well maybe I should look to buy a LP560, but it is due to be replaced.
As a result of the above, I am seriously considering placing a deposit on the replacement Gallardo.
Any info, pics or pricing on the new Gallardo (Cebrera I think it's called). I saw a top speed rending that looked amazing.
If it is priced the same as the current Gallardo, I will go this route. Otherwise when will be best to snipe a deal on the 560.
Thanks

The Cabrera will have the same 7 speed DCT and basically the same V10 offered in the 2013 R8, so if you wanted to test drive the powertrain that would be where to start. From what I've heard the base price is supposed to be much higher due to it being a carbon fiber monocoque chassis.

If that is the case I will go for the R8 V10 or a 458.

Get a 458 if you are spending about 260-290k
G replacement is still two years out. You can buy a used lp560 and then trade. Life is too short to keep waiting IMO

Here in Europe I don't think it is two years out. I think people will be getting first deliveries September next year.

The R8 is definitely an eye-turner. Interiors are practically the same, its just whether you like the Gallardo exterior enough to pay the extra for it. At the end of the day, its also an Audi vs Lamborghini, so keep that in mind too!

ive driven several versions g but only brief drive in v10 r8. how do you feel they differ?

The R8 you can totally drive everyday. It's very easy to drive and very comfortable for a super car. It becomes so easy that the feeling of being in a super car is forgotten. When you are in a Lambo it is very difficult to for get what kind of car you are in. The feel of the car is very different. The suspension is very different in both cars. The Lambo has coil overs and the Audi has a very soft comfortable ride. IMO
