My 2007 Gallardo
My 2007 Gallardo
Hi everyone!
Picked up my Gallardo last Wednesday in Toronto...
I traded in my Porsche Carrera 2S Cabriolet.
Almost a week later and I can honestly say I don't even miss it!
I feel as if I have been missing out on living.... This car truly is amazing!
I have never owned a car that makes grown men gitty at the near site of it.
It somehow brings out the best in people. I have taken countless pictures of adults and kids alike with my car... Even my wife enjoys the ride. Must admit that I hold back a lot while she is in the car... Lol
I must say that the Gallardo over 5K RPM is just glorious!
Being that I'm new to the brand, was hoping to get a couple questions answered...
When I press the gas pedal aggressively, I hear a screechy sound coming from behind for a moment or two. I was told that this is air going thought the intakes. Is this normal?
I also get a rattling sound from behind which sounds like my rear hatch is loose.
There's a couple of rubber stoppers I tried adjusting a bit, sound goes away for a while but comes back if I open and close the lid again... Anyone encounter this?
Just wanted to thank iCE for taking he time to help me with my purchase through PM's...I also registered on Saturn hoping to make it out one day to meet some of you...
Thanks in advance

Congrats on the purchase.
The woosh you hear is from the air intake on the top side of the rear. Normal
Not sure about rattling sound but I suppose you can have a pax riding along to see if it's coming from inside. Could be the third brake light?
If you don't have an exhaust yet, I recommend getting one.

if you still have the auto dimming mirror, you may want to replace it with a manual one. they are known to leak acid which eats the ac control below it. this happens when parked under the sun on hot day

Hi everyone...
I brought my lambo into the dealer to diagnose and fix a squealing screeching sound the car would make whenever I pressed the accelerator. This is what the dealer emailed back:
"We found an air intake diagram leaking, that is fixed
This car is equipped with the “high performance” K&N
Style air filters when allow more air through the system.
I would recommend putting the original paper air filters in to dampen the noise more.
Replacing those filters roughly $300.00"
They also diagnosed a rattling sound, which they say comes from the rear quarter panels being loose. They are looking for $400 to fix this.
Should I change the air filters as recommended? How does pricing look for above fixes?
