7:18 is slower than 7:08 my friend, that is the BEST version of the 911 and that is still 10sec slower, I have heard this debate over the car being modded, can you show me the EXACT literature from nissan confirming that??
As far as the weight people write that as an insult and I think its a testament to the cars engineering, it does everything faster while giving up 500-800lb to most sports cars, shouldn't you be asking Porsche why Nissan can make a 4000lb car go faster?

And here is a not "juiced" nismo ahead of every car but the 918 in a test held here in the us by car and driver. If you read down the list the Porsche is right behind the Chevy

After my last few post I'm going to shock all of you, I'm currently on the market for a white 6spd 997tt lol!! As much as i am impressed with the gtr's performance I'm not in love with the styling, its too big, and believe it or not I don't like dct's. I agree that obviously a dct is a superior transmission for performance but no body will ever convince me it is as fun to drive. Threads like this frustrate me when people ignore the gtr's capabilities, you don't have to like the car but you can't ignore facts. I think lap times are a great way to measure a cars performance capabilities because it ties together all facets of a cars capabilities stopping, accelerating, turning, and even cooling. The gtr will be in the top 1% of just about ANY track while sacrificing power, price, weight, and displacement to most of its competitors. How any true car guy wouldn't respect that I don't know, again don't like the car but respect the performance. To call it an Altima is just ignorant

I'm not shocked.

I think the GTR is a great car. I have a friend who is a 2-time SCCA champion in a Porsche Cup Car, and former Ferrari/Porsche and current Ford GT owner. He agrees with you - the GTR is the best overall car out there. He loves his tuned one.

I just like facts too. It isn't a driver's car, but it will certainly pull a hot lap. I find the size, seat height and weight detrimental, but regardless, it's pretty awesome.

You're too funny. 997tt I respect and like. It's gorgeous. All weekend I was in AR driving in the curvy hills with 6 Porsches another F-Type and a BMW having fun with our incredible machines, with our two way radios and radar detectors on. Having fun with our cars is something we all have in common.

I like this site because I'm always learning something new. Thanks for all the stats and an interesting debate. Good luck with finding that 997tt.

I don't dislike the GTR... I just don't like the GTR crow...

I raced many GTR with my bone stock LP560 and there is nothing fantastic about the GTR without tune, exhaust, intake and race gas...

It's just a fast ALTIMA...

Let's remember, this is a Lambo thread section so I expect to see folks throw mud at the GTR.

I am a TT Lambo, P-car, AMG, M5 and Z06 owner. I also owned a 2009 GTR sold it in late 2010. The car was amazing for what it was. Next to the P-car in terms of super car speeds, the GTR was easy to live as a Daily Driver and much easier to maintain and work on.

Sure, some of it's owners can be butt-holes, but that goes for every platform out there. Take some BMW owners, to me, they are the worse. I am a long time BMW owner and sometime it is downright embarrasing seeing how some of these goofballs behave and the comments they make towards other brands.

I respect all brands because I am a car guy FIRST; I am NOT a brand loyalist. The GTR is a fine and very impressive machine. They improved on it every year...who knows, I may jump back into one. It's exhaust sound and external looks and internal layout is very subjective, but that can be said for every car.

Furthermore, not everyone likes the Gallardo looks either. Take my wife for example, she prefers the looks of the GTR over the Gallardo...even he models after facelift. She certainly loved driving the GTR over the G-car due to its civility (stock or modded). Now, she prefers driving the P-car (997.2 TTS) over all of them even though she thinks the P-car looks like a frog.

Bottom line - all of these cars are great. The Lambo cant win it all. Many TT G-car owners get a little cocky and end up getting their **** handed to them. I recently witnessed an NOS fed with automatic trans (a transplant) heads/cam DR's eqiupped C6Z06 put a whooping on a stage II G-car at the drags. Sure, the lambo would have mopped the floor with the vette at hwy runs, but in the 1/4 mile that night...the Z06 was dominant. So you see...it all depends how and where you race and who is driving.

I was going to ask Sizzle to bring his GTR to any NE race track and I would race him with my open diff 996 TTS and my mate's stock Aventador... $1000 each, winner take all.... no tears, but he doesn't own one, buying a 997 TT :-)

All good cars. The work UGR has done with the Lambo Gallardos is nothing short of spectacular... just wish someone would do the same with a McLaren
