The only thing correct about your comment is the price. Yes, they are in the same price range. Performance wise...you can't hold a candle to the GTR.

You might be looking at the wrong Jaguar Engine. I have the F-Type R Coupe which is 550 HP @ 6400 and 502 Lb-Ft @ 2500. The convertible engine is significantly less. I was wrong about the fuel economy. My car is better at that too. My information is from jaguarusa.com and nissanusa.com. Yes I can hold a candle to the GT-R Black (stock to stock)

But this isn't about me. It's about GT-R vs Lamborghini

I think AMS did a superlative job putting together that package and running the car at the event!

With that being said however, I can't understand why a single person would buy a GTR aside from the capabilities of the driveline/transmission. The car is so hideously ugly and to think that people to get something like that AMS package a person will spend the equivalence to what UR or Heffner charge for their Lambo packages. That is insane to me. I just don't understand at all. And to think how fragile all these Lambos and GTRs are at the power levels that ran at the TI. The AMS car looked like it had a bit of a head gasket leak at the end of the last run. Sure, the car made a bunch of passes at the event, but how much longer would it last at those power levels? I bet not much. The good thing for AMS is that with this victory, they can surely get more money to R&D the billet block. Once they figure this out, the longevity at these power levels will increase substantially. If the Lambos go billet blocks then they will be on a level playing field with the GTR billet blocks, but they will really have to figure out something with their drivelines as the GTR stuff seems to be able to launch harder with stickier tires. If the Lambos could do a standing start with those tires without breaking, I am sure they would.

When is somebody going to step up to the plate and enter a crazy Ford GT to one of these events? I think that platform would be great for the roll racing stuff based on the 280 MPH standing miles they have done. Look at how competitive the RWD Vipers were at the last TI being right there even at the start of the race at the last TI.

His name is Jason better known as Mullet!!! He will race his Ford GT at the next TI I bet.

The cars have gotten crazy. The lambos are reliable tbough. Think about this.

I did maybe 6-7 passes at the half mile and went to TI untouched. My car went to TI and raced it very hard, about 5-6 passes all above 190 at TI. My car hasn't been touch since TI. I went to UGR to pick it up and drove it home 250 miles. Tag expired so had to get my emissions done, passed as easy as my other daily drivers, and about to go race it again this morning

Man I love this car. How many other people who raced in KOTS can say the above?

Stacy Barnett's engine did have a problem did it not? Maybe I got it wrong, if I did, I apologize.

All I am saying is that billet blocks will add a good degree of longevity to the equation.

Mullet is having M2K duplicate what Heidaker's car had on it when it trapped a 279 MPH speed in the Tx mile in 2013 correct?

I was speaking for my car. Pretty crazy you have to admit that. But in general the lambos are pretty damn reliable.

I talked to Stacy a few days after the event. He was driving his car around. His front or rear seal came out so he lost all his oil he said.

Yes it's the same build (90+%) as Heideckers. The little difference of mine will be able to do 1/4 miles, half miles, full miles, freeway pulls and street driven. Basically what I've always done with the car, just faster.

I can tell 300 is a GTR fan as they seem to always focus on "billet blocks".

Mullet, you make a much better gay **** star than you do a detective or fortune teller

Why can't Heidaker's car be street driven?

BTW, what is the 10% that you're not getting, hopefully not the "Devil is in the 'details' part"(Joke)

LOL GTR fanbois. SMH

You would have to ask Mark why on the street driven thing. The 10% is the stuff that makes mine more streetable.

Good luck with that new build!

Can't wait to see how the new setup stacks up to your Lambo.

Billet blocks certainly would increase the reliability of the build, but does the cost of a billet iron block (would probably be necessary at this power level) justify the cost? Especially when you consider the 2Rs are fairly street able & reliable with the current modified-OEM setup that ProLine & UGR are using.

Congratulations on taking your GT to the next level. I don't know any of the specifics of the Heideckers setup, but I'll presume you're ditching the compound boost and going strict TT?

This is the difference in the 2 cars and the bottom line. I'm sure if they built a 6 pass Lambo that needs to be trailered to and from the race AMS won't stand a chance. This is also the reason AMS can't make that GTR a customer car that will be driven and raced around town. It just won't make it home.

Well, Stacy Barnett's car had a bigger problem than the AMS car by the end of the event.

This is a B.S. Statement. AMS's car may have pushed out a head gasket after eliminating a number of Lambos and other cars making enough power to put 6 or 7 MPH on the fastest customer Lambos, but a UR customer car also had problems despite making less power and being 6-7 MPH slower.
