Yes, I drove the Huracan and Aventador at MSR Houston last Wednesday. The DCT in the Huracan is very smooth. The lead instructor said it's the same engine as the Gallardo with some modifications to the fuel injection system. The Huracan is next on my list of cars to own, but believe it or not, I'm not trading my Jag in anymore. I'm going to save more money and add it to my garage. I like the Jag that much.

My Jag is only supercharged and makes more HP than the GT-R Black for the same price. Same fuel economy. That car is in my class, not in any European mid engine super car's.

The quotes were from an earlier post from msizzle66. It was long so I only quoted part of it.

I really have never been into cars that I can only drive a 1/4 mile at a time since the street races in my neck of the woods are about 10 miles out of town.
Sorry... It would have been just the same results...

Dallas - Fri - Sat = TI
Houston - Monday ... rained out at RPR ... Tuesday ... Set Record at RPR

Drove back home....

People get to butt hurt over the dumbest reasons.

Stock Huracan vs tuned GT-R

I don't have to tell you guys why, but the first race failed for obvious reasons.

Maybe because the GTR have 200 HP more? Or maybe because the Hurracan driver didn't know when to shift the gears? Or maybe because the Hurracan started late?

Why would you post this video anyway... It's the worst video ever...

That was my point. Imagine what you could do with a good driver.

Lets be clear here the gallardo is obviously a much nicer car than the gtr but its far from legendary, the name plate was introduced in 2004 lol there is no history or heritage , the Gtr was introduced in 1969 with years and years of racing history on many different circuits, and it fueled a huge movement in the import world. So no its not an exotic but this is 100% a relevant car

You win one race and this is what you think now?
again are you serious? Im talking about stock to stock, the gtr has ran circles around pretty much everything under 400grand for the last 7 years! pick ANY track and you will see a gtr in the top 5 spots, it does 0-60 in under 3 sec, has a 7:08min ring time! If your keeping score the fastest gallardo is 7:40lol(lp560 superlaggera). So yes giving up displacement,4 cylinders,800lp,and 200k in price the gallardo is inferior to a gtr in performance as a result of its awd system and its dct

Yet the Audi R8 (same platform/engine) is having great success in racing. And I believe the Gallardo did well in FIA and shows well in Pirelli WC.

Also, the twin turbo Gallardos are providing another side altogether.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the GT-R wasn't even on the radar and the Supra was what fueled the import (with actual horsepower vs. Civics) racing movement in the US.

I hate to break it to you but the skyline gtr was the holy grail of imports they just happened to be illegal in the us. Pull into any carshow with a R34 Gtr(or any) and see how fast the car is surrounded. There was a small handful that was imported in various ways but not any real volume. In Japan the skyline was #1

Exotic? Legendary? To me they are all exotic and legendary... From the Mitsubishi evolution all the way up to the La Ferrari...

Gallardos are my favorite cars (I had 2 already) to me they are very special, exotic and legendary... (I felt the same way for my 5.0 mustang when I was 18 years old)

Incorrect. MT's Laguna Lap (Pobst is the driver), the Nismo finally made it into the 1:35s, which puts it in 7th all-time. It did great at VIR however and still didn't beat the Viper ACR. Not a professional driver either.

And btw, the 7:08 'Ring car....do some research on the mods: Aero, suspension, ECUs for engine and trans, seats, weight reduction. It was highly modified and NOT the same as a showroom stock Nismo.

Holy Grail in Japan, not in the US since it wasn't sold here. And it seems the Supra is still being developed by tuners/builders, I don't see much on the previous generation GTRs at all anymore?

With its bulky shape it has a lower coefficient of drag than the gallardo, it has a better gear box, and a far superior awd system. Stock to stock the gtr sacrifices 5-800lp and still goes straight faster and goes faster around a track and does it for 150000 less, so how is that b class and economy design elements?? This car is one of the most technologically advanced cars ever built! Notice every super car is a dct now? notice everyone is going to awd now?? Nissan invented neither but did both better than anyone else. you don't have to like it but your comments are just inaccurate
