Thinking of picking up a Lamborghini gallardo in the 2006-2009 range for under 130k.

What are some of the things you wished you had been more of a stickler about when buying your lambo.

For instance when buying my Aston Martin v8 vantage I wish I had not allowed myself to buy one under year 2009 because of the bigger engine and Bluetooth capability.

 

I wish mine was already twin turbod

 

Like the underground racing versions?

 

An 09 is an LP very different than 06 to 08. If it's in your wheelhouse get the LP.

I have had an 06 and now have an 11 big difference, but mind you the car is sick and awesome any version you get.

Enjoy the process and eventually one of the best car manufactured.

-Updated bumper if you are buying a pre LP
-Carbon ceramic brakes
-Engine clean bonnet

The LP Gallardos are better than Pre LP Gallardos but I agree the Pre LP Gallardos are badass too!

They are all great cars if well maintained. The 09+ LP generation have a lot of really good improvements and the reliability will improve. The early cars are fine but given the recent price point of 09 coupes, I would suggest looking there. Here is a compilation of my notes from over the years:

I agree on most of the above comments, should have gone with an LP or a TT car, I have an 05 G and added an SL wing to it and upgrade to a TCU tune, it's a must on any pre LP e-gear car, but now compared to my Ferarri Cali T the E Gear just feels awful.
