should I get a Lambo Gallardo? plz help

Hello Everybody.. I am new to the board..

Recently I am thinking to get a Lambo Gallardo.. but my situation is a bit NOT RIGHT for it..

Let me tell a little about myself..
I am living with my family in a not rich neighborhood.. the only car is over $50,000 in my whole neighborhood is my 911 turbo... and a lot of people look at me when I drive by... and my sucky house got breakin 2 times.. nothing really got stolen.. becuase there is no $ in the house..

I have 3,000,000 USD of saving in the GIC.. and deposit $30,000 USD monthly to my account from my income... $0 in stock.. $0 in mutual fund...

I don't really spend any $ to show off.. but now. I really want to get a Gallardo.. and i don't want to spend all my 3M to buy a good house in a rich neighborhood and will have no more saving left although i can save up $30,000 each month...

can anyone give me some advise what should I do?

thank you for helping

Danny.
LA.

first of all do you have a depost?? if not its gonna be impossible to get one at MSRP...
Also, if its gonna be your only car then NO!! If you think the TT depreciates fast just look at any Ferrari or Lambo with high miles and the values go down the drain....

Ok, lets see. Your making 30,000 monthly, off a capitol of 3,000,000. My first question to you would be, why wouldnt you, buy a better home? With 30,000 monthly, you could live in an awesome home, with several cars, and lots of money left over.

Having driven the Gallardo, i can honestly say, it is great car. And easily daily driveable. Personally, i always keep a nice high mile Cadillac around, easily purchased for nothing, from an old person nearby. Nice 98-99 STS runs 7-8,000 . Now you have a beater, and a Gallardo.

Also, id love to know your investment strategy, as im new at that game. Have always invested in homes, but would love to diversify.

30 X 12 = 360K... with that salary, you should buy a nice house first, and you should still be able to get a gallardo. You dont need to put all 3 mil into the house, for a 2 mil house, all you need is a 20% down payment, so thats "only" 400k, and you can pay off the rest of your home payments with your salary, and then you have quite a bit of money left over to buy a Gallardo....

BTW, is 30k a month before or after taxes?

If I am wrong here then I apologize to the original poster, but this whole thread smells funny to me. Why go on a public forum and divulge all that info?

Not that unrealistic. 3 mill at about 12% interest would get you around 30k a month. Assante Capital Mgmt is making me about 12%- 15% on my investments right now. Obviously that can change at any given moment these days.

Up 29% on my account last year managed by yours truly. Still unlikely story by this guy based on a hunch. I'm not out here advertising my monthly income and I don't see you guys doing it either.

priority #1: nice house in a good neighborhood (read: if you live in la, which i am assuming by your monicur, you can find plenty of very nice homes below $1mil provided your not picky about where you live (which would apper to be true based on your current situation).

Priority #2: get a reputable financial planner to help you, because if you have all the doe you say you do, you need to learn how to keep it first, then make it grow (ie: priority #1).

...

last priority: Lamborghini. these are wonderful cars and can result in a great deal of personal enjoyment, but the way you started this thread with all the money you "have" suggests a trust fund kid, legal settlement, or lotto or ...well it doesn't really matter. MHO is that these cars are really good for people who know what they want in life or the average pro sports player that has more money than s/he really knows what to do with.

Anyway, good luck

By your post you are no financial guro. Curious how you have this income and have such a lack of financial acumen. Are you living off a revocable trust. Cars are a complete waste of money.Your home is one of the few assets that not only can you enjoy it but makes good financial sense. Cars are here today gone tomarrow. you now want to park a Lambo in front of a home that has been broken into 2x. I suggest a course in $$$ mgt , then a better security system for your pos house due to that car will be a huge glareing red flag to any gangsta driving by to make a home invasion call too.
