Can someone enlighten me .... IF the car burns down due to manufacturer's defect ... Does insurance pay for a new car or the manufacturer ... or does insurance pay then insurance goes after manufacturer?

I asked a guy on the lambo board that...
his response was..

"The insurance would not pay because they said I had no loss since the dealer replaced the car for me. They said its their problem. In NY a dealer must warranty a car for the first 30 days. Since in caught fire on the way home from picking up the car(1st Day) it was within the 30 days."

So I wonder what the laws are outside of NY

Glad no one is hurt. Just make sure to have insurance when you have one of these cars without a lapse or anything
