Anyone heard of this? There's this tuner byt he name of Rob that comes to Singapore every now and than to do ECU upgrades( I think it's a chip conversion or he just remaps it) on exotic cars. So far he has done quite a few 996TT, M5, S55AMG with no problems whatsoever. He will be back after Christmas and I plan to get in touch with him. Has anyone heard of this DMS ECU/Chip upgrade?

Ive heard of them, they are a British Tuners, All I heard were good comments, their M5 / M3 and 996TT setup have got good talks from the press, I say do it but you will get around 10-12 with just a flash plus you will benefit from the Exhaust, and dropin filters you have got looking at 20hp probably.

Thanks for the info. I just rang them and they told me to expect about 40plus bhp from the upgrade. I'll be happy with an extra 10-15bhp.

 

I dont think thats possible, Reallife just happen to be 10-20hp with the current mods you have, any way do it and you will feel the car is lighter at its wheels and you eager to push it to its limit.

I'm not sure if they have done any Murcielagos to begin with which is why I'm a little scared in case anything were to go wrong with the engine, dont want to blow a big hole in my pocket. No doubt I will get a power gain but how reliable is the remapping of the ECU...

 

Its a 10-20minute job, they just re map the ecu with new software and if you face any troubles the dealership can resit your ecu to stock setting.

 

We have people dyno test their cars after ECU upgrades and have LOST power. So far NO ONE has steped up to the plate and shown a true gain.
