Check engine light question

Just wondering if anyone is familar with codes. I picked the car up tonight and took it on a 4 hour drive. Clutch is great, drives smooth, runs strong, car is awesome. I took a few friends for rides and ran the car aggressive and no issues what so ever. After an hour of lazy steady driving home at 80 the check engine light came on followed by a 1-5, 6-10. Car runs perfect, no problems detected anywhere. Oil pressure, temps, everything is perfect. Could it be because of the Tubi exhaust? Any insight would be great? I am new to this car and couldn't find any answers in the books or this site. I'll call tomorrow and I'm not worried, just thought I'd run it by the experts here first Thanks for the time. BTW- I am so surprised at how drivable this car is and comfortable on long trips. It was a pleasure to drive.

Can't be too serious. I just went for another cruise and it cleared itself. Still curious what it's telling me though???

If it is an 04-05 (which it seems to be by the photos the CEL will be common with a Tubi. It will reset but still be in there so you'll need a hard reset at the dealer and then see if it comes back on. If it doesn and the dealer says no problem then it is the Tubi and you'll have to live with it once in a while but no big deal.

Enjoy the hell out of it!

It's the exhaust. No worries to your car. The yellow light usually comes on if you have aftermarket exhaust and are driving at the same rpm / speed for a prolonged time. It will probably turn off after a few days. But if it's red, then there is a problem. For me it's come to the point where I just ignore the yellow light.

Thanks guys for the quick responses. I assumed it was due to the exhaust. It is yellow and reset all by itself. I rather keep the Tubi and have the cel then stock exhaust and no cel Thanks for the link too. I'll go read up....

Have the same problem here with a MY07 Spyder and Larini bypass pipes. At first it's a bit annoying but I got used to it. And as you say I'd much rather have the Larini sound in combo with the CEL than no cel and stock sound

Dario, you have the LP640 in Nero Perseus, that's the non-metallic black right?
Do you have some good pics of your car? I ordered one in Nero Pegaso but I'm still thinking about the non-metallic black.

Rami,

I'm pretty sure my car is Metallic ... I'm really happy with the color ... I'm having wheels put on my car next Wed then having professional photos taken if you can wait that long?

Ha .. we have the same taste in colors (last G was Grigio) but if I were to order a car as opposed to buying the one of the floor like I did, I would do the Pearl White (balloon)

Hmmm, just checked and the non-metallic color of the LP640 is called Nero Aldebaran. Metallic is Nero Pegaso.
Of course I can wait Dario ... just don't forget about me plz I really would like to see the shade of black you have.

I initially ordered it in Balloon White but after seeing a Roadster LP640 irl I was no longer sure. It's awesome for the coupé but I wasn't convinced for the Roadster. On top of that my dealer (after service guy) told me that if I ever needed to touch up the paint it would be VERY hard to get it in original shape. They have a car in the showroom right now (with a small dent) and they can't find a single company that wants to work on that color.

It seems that Nero Perseus is the name of the interior black leather?

Just checked my sticker sheet ... I got it backwards, I do have Pagaso exterior and Perseus is one of my two-tone interior colors

Metallic is a must!

I don't know much about the diablo's since it was from chrysler. But if it went off I would assume that all is well (?).
