More Toyota/Lexus problems

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToTncmDWi74

It's come to the point now where you KNOW Toyota is going to keep getting smacked upside the head with these reports. Someone had the nerve to say that Lexus was in a class all its own. Not so. Any two brands that are built in the same factory, by the same hands, are going to suffer the same problems. There have been Lexus safety risks since 2004.

Every manufacturer is going to have it's share of recalls and quality issues. Toyota/Lexus just happened to take the grunt of it. Many of the other automakers have quietly issued recalls and stop sales recently and flew under the cover of the Toyota issue. Check the NHTSA website. Honda and Acura just issued stop sales and recalls that porbably not too many people know about because Toyota got all the press coverage.

This may cause some ruffled feathers....BUT...I would still prefer a Toyota/Lexus before a domestic(other than my Porsche)....!

What about GM with their brake problems?!
Don't see people bashing that too much....
What about the Ford F350 and all the problems they have had with their 05-09 diesels(I am guessing at the years)...
BUT I do own one and trust me I have spent my fair share of repairs that MANY MANY others have too..........!
ALL manufacturers have had their fair share of problems BUT when you are the 'TOP' dogg, they just love draggin' you down and that IS why they are out to KILL toyota!

But that is just my $.02 and that may be all it is worth!

it seems like everyone is just jumping on a toyota/lexus bashing bandwagon.... this risk is basically if you drive the car very recklessly, the traction control might not kick in fast enough to save your ***?

prior to this everyone was whining that toyota/lexus has always had way too over protective vdim/trac/vsc systems.

UAW is behind stoking the fires behind the scenes.

Expect a revelation of this soon enough.

I just had an oil change on my ISF and I declined all parts of the recall. I did not want a new shorter pedal or the software update. I do not have the all season mats so that was not an issue either.

With all the coverage Toyota is getting with their recalls and all the other auto makers being ignored seems like it is being done on purpose. I don't want to call it a conspiracy in anyway because that seems a little to extreme but Toyota is the only company who I belive can survive threw this much bad press so the target is on them, while other auto makers especially American auto makers are making all the right investments at the right time to increase sales and rebuild there company. For example if it wasn't for Toyota's recalls Ford would not be where they are now and GM would never have been able to go Public so fast.

It has been on the domestic automakers for some time (think Ford and Firestone). What short memories we have. The fiasco coupled with the UAW drove them to near bankrupcy.

Good to see it happen to the high and mighty Toyota.

And now Ford is ranked #1 in quality.....

I work for Honda and Toyota is literally right across from me. I've had more trades in on Toyota's in 1 month than in an entire year. Tisk tisk Tisk Toyota/Lexus

I took my car in and got the recall done, smaller gas pedal etc. I don't care anymore............life is too short to worry about not being able to shift to neutral!
