Nice looking...more of a hot hatch than suv. WB -4", Length -10", W -5", height -4", FWD bias. Not really Macan competition IMO. Dimensions closer to GTI than Porsche.

 

Motortrend article suggested that this will be cross shopped with Macan or at least with the AMG version. Appreciate your dimension analysis.

 

My opinion only but that thing is god awful ugly dipped in a bucket of nasty. Horrible, IMO. Just horrible.

I've seen the non AMG version in person at the LA Auto Show and unfortunately, reality doesn't alter my perception. No thanks.

Completely agree!

Isn't even an opponent for the Macan BTW... It's much smaller. The AMG version's target rivals are the Audi RSQ 3 and BMW X1 xDrive35i. (According to MB)

i like the smaller size - the Macan is not small enough to be that crossover style they suggest. it is only inches shorter than a Cayenne so i don't see where it sits

- get a small CUV or a Cayenne.

 

Looks more like MB A or B series on steroids

 

+2....One reason I don't read Motor Trend.

Like it or not, the Macan is going to be a very hot seller for Porsche. Dealers have a fistful of orders already.

I'm just hoping the price doesn't increase big time before the 2016 is released, and that I can develop the persuasive ability to get my wife to swap her Volvo XC60 T6 for a Macan S.
