Macan Ordered

Hi I'm known as "John in Vancouver" on the 991 and 996 TT boards.

Ordered a White with Red/Black leather interior Macan Turbo yesterday as next daily driver. Hoping to be able to get the car in Zuffenhausen in September to do a Porsche Treffen to Italy with it. Otherwise will just take delivery here in Vancouver.
Specifications:
Turbo
Aluminum look gas cap (whoopee!)
Sport Chrono
Torque Vectoring
Air Suspension
Power Steering plus
20 inch Sport Design wheels
Wheel centres with crests
Smoker package
18 Way adaptive sport seats
Light comfort package
Heated Multifunction Steering wheel in Dark Walnut

Summer tires
Premium package plus which includes:
Park assist front and rear with Reversing camera
Front seat ventilation
Auto dimming mirrors
Porsche Entry and Drive
Panoramic Roof
Lane keep assist
Lane change assist
Aluminum roof rails
Cargo Management System

Colour is :"OQ" White and interior Red/black leather (these match my 991S X51 Cab which I'm keeping of course).

Sounds wonderful - both the car and the European tour! I just spent an hour with the salesman in Bellingham. Considering an open slot for Sept build of an "S". I'm curious why you opted for summer tires in Vancouver? Also, didn't realize the 991S had a X51 option.
I used to live in North Van, and have a son there. Would love to take a look when you get your Macan Turbo.

Went for Summer tires as I plan on second set of wheels with real snow tires for winter (as I have now for my BMW 650). Porsche's choices are Summer or all season and I don't think all season much good for winter anywhere and also want better handling in summer. Yes, X51 is available on 991S's built after about October 1/12.

Good point re the tires. All seasons are a compromise that deliver somewhat mediocre performance for either summer or winter conditions. I may decide to do the same when the time comes. Did I see your 991 at a Bob's Breakfast run last summer? Great car BTW.

Yes, I had both the 991S Cab and the 996 TT Cab (silver) out for different BBC's last year and will do same this year.

I received an email response from "Pete" but cannot find it on the forum. To answer your questions Pete, my Macan is tentatively scheduled for August production and delivery at the Zuffenhausen factory on September 22 so my wife and I can take it on the Fast Lane Travel Tuscany tour. Salesman at Porsche Centre Vancouver was Bob Clarke from whom I've bought several Porsches.

John: That is funny, I got an email notification of Pete's response too (since I subscribe to the thread), but it wasn't in the thread when I looked there. Very weird. Very envious of your Tuscany tour in your new Macan in Sept. Sounds fabulous.

Ken, I note you are in Blaine, WA. Check out our PCA Canada West website and come up for one of our events sometime. We have members in Blaine, Bellingham and Linden coming up for events. If you are member of Pacific Northwest you can still make the shorter drive to Vancouver for our events.
