Radar Detector Issues

I just picked up my Macan Turbo which I specced with most of the options. I love the car! It replaces my 08 Cayenne GTS. One issue: I hardwired my Valentine One radar locator, placing the unit high on the driver's side windshield, close to the center. The owner's manual mentions this area to use for EZ pass. My EZ Pass works fine, but my VR-1 is not behaving as it did in my other cars. First of all, I now rarely receive signal arrows from the front, mostly from the rear. It seems as though the signal is not reaching the front of the unit. I can't say for sure, but it seems as though the range is significantly decreased. Also, it seems that there is a constant signal coming from the rear.

My car does have the insulated glass, ACC,PDLS, etc. Could all of these systems be interfering? Has anyone else tried this? I really do like my Valentine, and am not aware of any remote installation procedures.

Any others try this??

Might you have reversed the + and - wires when you hard-wired it?
