Noise coming from rear passenger side

I'm still having this noise issue with the Macan S that I've had since August. Currently has 2700 miles on it. I know that it's due to body flex. It's been in the shop 3 times to fix the problem. Last time was two weeks ago and they adjusted the lock assembly on the rear hatch door. The frequency of the noise decreased somewhat but is now happening more often. It's really annoying as it can be heard over the stereo and conversations. Any body have a similar issue?

Sorry you are having this issue. I haven't had it myself. One simple thing to try, if you haven't already, is to remove the privacy cover from the rear hatch area and see if that helps.

I did try that. Took it out and still had the noise problem. I did put the felt side from a Velcro strip on each shelf that it rests on before putting it back in. I also put a Velcro cover on each of the seat belts lock inserts in the back seat as they were hitting the plastic they rest on.

There is a recall out on all the 2015's and some of the 2016's on some kind of fuel line issue. Apparently in very rare situations, there has been some kind of leaking of gas in this area which could result in a fire. Any unsold 2015 or 2016 cannot be sold until this recall is completed. Most have been fixed I heard, but if you haven't, you should get this done.

The recall involves something like 27,000 Macan's in North America and about 55,000 worldwide. Apparently the inside liner (some form of rubber?) is dissolving and letting fuel leak into the braided part of the fuel line and then out of the system. Problem is availability of parts. Our local dealer who has delivered substantially over 200 units only received 3 of the repair kits this month! Luckily, I had mine done on Friday. Interestingly I was never formally notified by Porsche of the recall (guess because of the scarcity of parts?).

Just traded in my 991 for a 2016 Macan S. I loved the 991 but the Macan I love more!
