GIAC software for Macan S applications are now available!

GIAC software is now available for the Porsche Macan S (30L V6 twin turbo engine). This software calibration accommodates 91-93 octane fuel, as well as the factory exhaust and intake system. While retaining smooth drivability, the program offers dramatic and consistent power improvements over the OEM software. On 91 octane fuel, gains are as high as 73 wheel HP and 129 ft lbs wheel torque in some areas of the power band. Peak gains are 36 horsepower and 110 ft. /lbs. of torque at four wheels over stock, on 91 octane fuel.

Notable features include the following:
  • properly recalibrated air/fuel ratios,
  • improved throttle response for a drive-by-cable system feel,
  • optimized torque control for smoother, faster shifting.
Dynamometer test results from an MD-500 Mustang dyno are included here. The graph plots power tests (wheel HP and TQ) for a 2015 Porsche Macan S. The red line denotes a completely stock Macan S with OEM software, exhaust, intake and charge cooler, on 91 octane. The blue and green lines denote two different runs for the same Macan S with GIAC 91 octane software, OEM exhaust, OEM intake and OEM charge cooler, also on 91 octane.

The new high security DME 95B906022B Simos SDI10.2 of the Macan S/Macan Turbo prompted GIAC’s development of an entirely new proprietary flashing protocol for this product line, requiring ECUs to be sent in to GIAC for software installation. Contact your local GIAC authorized dealer for additional information and pricing.

Will you be selling it with the loader, like you have for the 991? That is the only way I'd buy it...and I will want it for the Turbo when available!

No switching ability at this time. We're looking to find space for the code, but the encryption/security on this DME is pretty immense. They do not want these to go faster than a Panamera or Cayenne Turbo.

Any chance of a 93 or 94 (available locally) octane tune?

So, is the switching ability a dead issue or is this something that you envision happening in the future?

The issue we're running into is lack of space. It's not something that we would be against doing, but it doesn't seem the DME will support it.

Which means that you will have something for the 16 Cayenne Turbo S, too?

Why so much extra low end tq? A nice 75 lb-ft extra would be fine without the extra stress on the drivetrain.

I just had a panamera s loaner for 3 days with this same engine and it was a beast! I wish my cayenne had the PDK transmission. The macan s is definitely de tuned
