The brakes on the MacS are not the best I ever had. Comments on your MacS

Just picked up a base model and the brakes are pretty weak by Porsche standards. The LR Discovery I traded out of had better brakes.

I wonder if it's the Pads.

My gripe with the brakes is that their application is not linear. When first applied, especially at low speeds, they grab. At higher speed stops they feel good but sometimes they don't allow a smooth stop.

The brakes on my Macan Turbo are great. No problems, even autoX they work just like my 911s.

The base Macan has horrible tiny 4 piston calipers and thin rotors - not up to the task of handling the stopping on a 4100 pound car

I recently bought a S for my daughter night and day better than the base

Here is my review of the base loaner I am using

When shopping the different trim levels, we nixed the base Macan and the Macan S due to the weak brakes. They really are bad and not up to the level of the chassis and power.

I watched Motor Week lst Sunday. They reviewed the Cayenne Turbo. I could not believe the 60 to 0 number: 84 FEET DEAD STOP!!! Now mind you, it had ceramic brakes, but dang! that's really good.

The brakes on our '17 GTS are great - no complaints at all.
