When McLaren calls, there's no need to listen. Just say "yes" every time there's a break in the, usually smoothly British, noise from the ear piece. Chances are, it's going to be good and you want to be involved. Worst case scenario: You get a handful of some of the slickest business cards in the game. Best case: Free McLaren F1.
And somewhere in the middle is McLaren offering to stop by our Santa Monica offices for a private display of the new McLaren MP4-12C supercar.
Yes. Yes, yes, yes.
In photos, the McLaren MP4-12C is as anonymous as a supercar can get. It's the look video game makers use for supercars when they don't want to pay for licenses.
In person, the MP4-12C is stunning. Brilliantly executed, amazingly detailed and a perfect expression of form as function. There's nothing on the exterior, save maybe the badge and the license plate, that isn't functional and expertly designed. Just watching it drive through a garage once changes everything.

I was not very interested in this car until I saw the pictures and read that last article. Now I'm totally blown away.
Admittedly, I'm not in a financial position to buy this or any other exotic, but if I were this would be at the top of the list. I have not seen finer aluminum and carbon work on any car, and the systems seem to be truly groundbreaking.
I anxiously await track testing and more details on this car.
BRAVO McLaren.
