I bit biased here but CLS all the way, E class is dated, CLS is just sexy all over.

Some pics to help the sale

All the cars mentioned are great and beautiful cars. What I have come to notice is that the M cars when compared to their "regular" counterparts, are more refined and they will be noticed by the "blind eye" (people who dont really know about cars)

The AMG cars too have their differences, but they are very subtle IMO. The CLS is a beautiful car, and if you picked it over the M5 or E63 no one would blame you.

Good luck on your next car and dont forget to post pictures!

CLS is the most exotic looking of the two to me. M5 has the performance to back it up and a 7 Speed SMG! If your looking for good lucks go CLS, performance go M5.

Either people love the CLS or they hate it. Like the other member said, you can't go wrong with any of the choices. Good luck with your pick.

CLS is just plain sexy. E class is a good choice, because its lighter than the CLS, and that just means a bigger smile when you mash the pedal. Its also more roomy and friendly for packing people in. Im not a big fan of the M5, it doesnt sound as aggressive to me, and I dont like the interior.

CLS is nice, but out of those 3 cars it's down to aesthetics. I picked my E63 over the CLS 63, just always like the E class AMG's. Maybe i'll add a cls63 and complete the garage, LOL

I have a CLS55 and an M6. On looks alone, I would go with the CLS. However, the view out of the CLS is compromised whereas the E63 is just easier to drive. I just test drove an E63 wagon right after driving my CLS and the difference was dramatic just from the view from the driver seat perspective. I have to say I still prefer the 55 engine given the immediate low end torque over the 63. The M5 is great, but a very complicated car as I can surmise from my M6 experience. Frustrating to drive in stock and go situations. An E63 would be the easiest to drive around a downtown situation but on the open road, I think an M5 wins from a pure driver excitement perspective.

The CLS is very nice but ti does compromise on the performance side of view as its heavier than the E63 and if you do want a spacious interior with more legroom the E63 should do you best.

What ever you choose from the alternatives you've provided, I am sure you will be very satisfied as each one of them has its own special feature and experience.
