IMO, if you wait a little more until the redesigned SL65 come out in 2009, you will be able to buy an 07 or 08 for the same money (or even less) as 05 right now.

 

I don't think so. Mainly because 05/06 SL65's are already going for 80-110 (depending on mileage and options). Considering they sold for nearly 200K new, they are really cheap as it is. I really doubt we will see them go into the 40-80K range to make way for the 07/08's in the 80-110K range. It will happen, oh, will it happen, but not yet. Expect them to drop 5-10K though when the new model comes out...

 

Great choice!.. especially when the weather's nice and you can smoke 99% of the cars out on the road. Make sure you get an extended warranty if you decide to keep it pass the factory warranty.

 

But look what happened to S65 and CL65 when the new models came out. You can get an 06 S65 for well under $70,000 now that the 07 redesign is out. Here's a two year old S65 ($190,000+ MSRP!) for sale right now with a "BUY IT NOW" of only $69k (and it can't even sell at that)

Right now you cannot get an SL65 for under $90,000 (well at least I never saw it go that low on ebay, and auctions don't count much for private buyers. The lowest on ebay right now is $95k). That's because the new model is not out yet. When it comes out, you will be able to get them for 70-80k, just like S65 and CL65.
