CLK-63 Black HRE C-90 Wheels

HRE built 10" and 11" 19" C-90 Comp. wheels mounting 285's Front & 305's Rear, Pirelli Corsa tires. I tried PS-2's and lost the handling so Pirelli Corsa'a are the way to go. This is what I believe a Max fittment with some inner fender lip modification necessary. The rear tires are still green but initial feedback is very good. Grips like hell. 2.5 deg. neg. camber dropped just over half inch. Look's are dramatic I would say. After full race exhaust is completed and ecu map to match it will be done. Right now with 2 generation Renntech map were making around 540 hp with strong torque gains. Trans. shift program holds gears longer, shifts harder and faster. My favorite aspect of the Balck is the Transmission and Torque. Makes the car a blast to drive.
Can't wait for the headers and final 100 octane program ! Steve

Ummm............AWESOME! I really like the the wheels and like how you went a different route than everyone and their monoblocks (not that those are bad!).

Sick car and even sicker mods thus far. Enjoy it and please keep us updated with more pics

Did you really feel that much of a difference with the PS2's on the street. I was really hoping to switch out to a more useable and longer lasting street tire but if there is that much of a performance difference even in street use, I will have to stick with the Pirelli's as well. What headers are you installing? Don't know if you are aware, but Amg is coming out with a new software program for the Black Series transmission which will be available from the dealers which will have rev-matching on the down shifts.

+1. I was hoping to go with a longer lasting tire as well.

The PS-2's were terrible. The car would sway back and fourth under acceleration and the handling went away. Had to keep increasing the pressure which helped a little but at 43 lbs it rode too hard. I had Michelin take the tires back. Renntech warned me the P2's would not work but I liked the 275's for the front, 295's rear. Pirelli Corsa is the only way to go. They have the stiff sidewall that gives you the contact and feel with the road.
Others have reported issues with PS-2's similar to mine but with other Mercedes models. Renntech is building the headers and does the software. Don't switch tires, you will regret it ! Steve
