Are these out yet? When do they come out? Limited number or will it be part of a big run?

I'm assuming when they hit the showrooms, the usual "Premium" markup will exist for the first six months and then 24 months later they'll be priced at typical depreciation values..

I'm not much of a Merc guy so I don't really know much about this car or what's happening at the street level but I'm curious to know.

In the back of my head I'm somewhere thinking about my next garage queen and the SLS and a pre-owned SLR are not off the list but that's also because I know little about them. I'm much more of a Porsche guy but maybe looking for something different.

They are out. I've seen two on the road so far. Personally I like the SLR much better, it's more of a drivers car. The SLS is a retro cruiser. I've been lucky enough to drive both at MBZ driver events.

Nice car. While perusing the interweb for my eventual lottery winnings, I saw Gold Coast in Chicago has 2 or 3, all "used", like less than 1000 miles. I don't even recall the price but probably a "little" markup as you suggested. If I recall they have a couple of SLR's for all of your one stop shopping.

 

They have been out for a while now. They are much more pleasing to the eye in person.

 

saw one at the local dealership that was on display for Masters last year, dunno if it was for sale.

saw another one on the streets in Bratislava last May.

lots of used ones because the buyers didnt realize they were actually buying a performance car. Thought it would be a typical amg luxury performance car. They probably wont depriciate nearly as bad due to limited production

 

You've got to see AND hear one in person to truly appreciate it
