VRUS is a good friend of mine, he is trying to make a custom CF air box like REnntech and found out is was just a OEM bottom with CF cover and charge $4500. I will never trust REnntech again.

its $1,995 I contacted Bob from Renntech, I think the 4,500 one you are talking about is for the E55,SL55,CLS55 and G55 because they have Supercharged engines

Mohamed,
I have the RENNTech airbox for my NA E55. Ray is correct that it is only CF on the top of the OEM airbox. However, the airbox internals are supposed to be reworked for higher airflow. They also add K&N filters in this package. Can't say if you get 10HP alone but, it sure looks nice and car did perform on dyno along with the rest of kit.

I have the renntech airbox on my clk430. If you compare it with the stock 55 box you will see how much larger it really is. Yes, the bottom piece is the same but the c/f top piece is much larger. I am thinking about getting vrus's c/f intake for my kleemann supercharged clk55.

Sorry to revive this old thread, How much did you gain with the CF box ?
