New Mercedes C-Class Uncovered

In full showroom trim

Pre-production of the next generation Mercedes C-Class is under way in Daimler-Chrysler’s Bremen plant. The sedan is the first to be released at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. Then the station wagon will follow about half a year later in fall 2007. Altogether it will be a completely new model range offering standard RWD and AWD as an option. Code-named W 204, the C Class will be available in four different styles, as sedan, station wagon, sports coupe and convertible. Power will come again from a variety of four- and newly developed six- cylinder engines. A sporty AMG version is in the pipeline, too. These latest photos are showing a red sedan prototype with only a few strips of black camouflage tape removed by image editing.

I'm not thrilled...
Roof line is too square or something. The headlights dont look very appealing.... not like a Mercedes at all.
However, I don't want to criticize it yet. You have to see it in more pictures and in person.

While I agree that the front looks horrible in this pic, you can clearly see that the first pic is a photoshop of a disguised car and not the real deal. I've seen the undisguised front and it looks pretty good actually. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any decent pics of the front online ATM.

The shot of the rear is real though. Here are some more pics of the undisguised rear and disguised front:

Don't like the way MB design is heading at all. IMO the 2000-2002 were the best years for MB design, kinda like with BMW. Best looking Bimmers were the E46, E39 and E38.

This thing is just so bland. Proportions look awkward and the lines don't flow well.
