Is anyone out there getting a discount? MB has new lease program on E63 but dealer wants MSRP. I am looking for a discount, anyone negotiated one lately? Thanks

My local dealer can't move E63's - they had over 11 sitting on the lot...look for 9K+ on the E63's. CLS's don't have nearly as much room IMO/experience.

With a new E-class on the horizon, and a slew of E55's available on the used market you should be able to name your price on an E63 these days. I loved my E55, would have easily gotten another if it hadn't been for the fact that a new version would have been available mid way through my lease. The E-class AMG 55 or 63, is a "perfect" mix of luxury and performance IMHO.

CLS for sure, E-class not really the newer model might show up at the end of 2009.

I've read in a number of magazines, including a recent Autoweek that a completely new E-Class will be available in 2008 as a 2009.

Probably because the E-class W211 came out in 2002 a year after the C-class was released W203, So We can assume that there is a chance that the E-class will be available in 1 1/2 year, thats because the C-Class W204 is going to be released next month worldwide.

Same engine and specs, but 200 lbs heavier and nearly unusable back seat?

You were told wrong.

True, but I like the Panaromic roof on the E-class. I wish the CLS can be ordered with a Panaromic roof.

I think it's very pretty too. But you said it's the better car. Those aren't the same things in my book.

Better car would be the better handling, lighter weight, faster, and more usable car.
As for looks, I agree, the CLS is much better looking.
