radar

I need to install a radar on my 2006 CS4. I had a K40 Calibre with Laser Blinders on my previous car. The install is very subtle and attractive, but I did get the usual flurry of false alarms. The K40 Calibre is MUCH better than the previous hard wired version. The CS4 has a slot below the radio where the radar remote can be installed, so an SRX7 or V1 would work as well. Does anyone have any comments about these?? I know a lot of people are passionate about K40 and especially V1.. Is anyone using the new SRX7??

i have the v1 in both the m3 and m6 and the passport in the 996tt, i love the valentine i like it alittle more than the passport. although the passport is completely stealth i think the v1 works as well if not better without the hassles of instalation

The SR7 did well in the radar detection portion of the test but it was mounted up by the rear view mirror which is not where most people mount it; it is usually mounted under the bumper or in the grill. If you want the best radar/laser detector, get a V1. If you want the best laser jammer, the new Laser Interceptor will be out in less than a month and it jams every laser gun almost 100% of the time from every distance.

The latest radar/laser detector and laser jammer results are out.

I sell and install both Escort and K40. The SRX is the same thing as a SR7plus..it is for installation by the dealership. SR7plus is what mobile electronic speacialist sell. I personally like the new K40 Calibre system because of its range for radar as well as its seemless integration. I have never had a customer complain about the performance of either but I have run both in a vehicle and the K40 has a much better response time and greater distance then the escort.

If you are close to NJ I will gladly help you with the installation

If you are refering to the display then No. But if you are putting the display of the V1 in the mirror and the V1 itself in the headliner or dash( some of th various locations I have seen them installed) then yes it is bad because you are extremely impairing the receivers view of the road.

Dan212 your from mbworld right? Im CLk22 If you have anyquestions u can ask me about the systems as well. I also agree about the K40 Calibre that it has a greater range than the escort. I think you should just stick with k40 since your already use to it with your old car.

Yes same dan..

I am going to stick with the K40. I don't think there is a perfect system, but the K40 on my CLK550 was pretty good. I have no complaints. Traded my CLK in for a Porsche though.
