tough choice huh
bentleys are getting very very common around here.
you're talking about an S65 which does 1/4 mile in 12.4 seconds or less...to a flying spur which does it in over 13 seconds. not to mention the S-class looks better and has many more luxurious features than the bentley.

Biggest issue for me was the deprecion hit if purchased new. The previous version 06's are going for half msrp. or less. Low milage 07's can be had in mid 160's from 190's mrsp. Next year, they'll be under 125. Check out www.mbworld.org. Good luck.
they are awesome but traction is a problem even with tcs on... if you tap the gas in a parking lot you can "drift" around turns. and if your going liek 50 on the free and pound on it too hard you will light up tires... just dont drive like a 19 year old who just got his liscence and you shouldnt worry about killing yourself

S65

One of the few 4-doors that I'd swap my CTTS for. However, I'd look for a nice pre-owned 07 to diminish the big D-hit. Great ride.

Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner Edition....It is exclusive, powerful, fun, luxurious, and would probably hold its value a bit better than the S65.

Anyhow, can it be a reliable daily beater? It is the only Benz that excites me so I need more specific inputs.
Why would it be too much for a daily driver? If you can spend $200k on a car, it should not matter what anyone else thinks.

If I had the money, I'd use a Veyron as a daily driver. And I'll STILL be late to work everyday.

HAHAHA!! There was a guy here that drove a Veyron almost daily. The way I figure it, if you are driving a Veyron as a daily driver, who cares if you are late getting where you are going. The journey there was the fun part.
