I daily drive my S65 and have never owned a better vehicle. When it's time for a replacement, I can't see buying anything other then a newer S65. I couldn't be happier with mine. That said, an aftermarket warranty is necessary. I've got service slips that pop eyeballs and break credit cards.

have a friend, and a few acquaintances that own them...no one really seems to think they're too much for daily drivers

I would not suggest buying one. I bought one and sold it after one month. Extremely boring in my opinion and too big.

I DD a 2009 S63 and have no complaints. I'm sure the S65 would feel the same for DD purposes....just spending more time at the pump. DD any of these exotics really hits the wallet hard with service and fuel consumption but I don't think any of us on this site are that practical to begin with .
