XBox360 HD-DVD Player for $99
I found this link on digg. A buddy of mine printed up this "flyer" on the computer and took it to Circuit City to inquire about their price match policy. Sure enough they gave him one for $99 (usually $199). I'm on my way tomorrow to pick one up. The flyer expires on Jan 1st...so hurry.

He got lucky since they've been out of stock since Christmas. CC is suppose to call to check stock before giving the price match.

Damn, I missed it. Are there still $50 rebates for circuit city that haven't expired? Im looking to make sure there are no good rebates before I go buy my hd-dvd player at full price.

From what I've heard Best Buy and CC will price match pretty much anything. As long as it's not a rebate, or the coupon hasn't expired. So I guess we need to just keep our eyes open for a deal on the net...

only if the competitor has the current item in stock for the sale price.

And the store has to be local. And from what I remember, the CC coupons dont work anymore either.

I picked mine up for 159.99 using that coupon. Had no problems at all. The HD-DVD player is awesome! It is much more quiet than the 360 and the quality is astounding. So far I've watched king kong and MI: III. Everyone that has seen it so far has been blown away. If anyone is on the fence, I would say go for it!

I couldn't agree more. The picture and sound quality are fantastic. What makes it even better is that Netflicks rents both HD and BluRay movies, so there's actually a way to get content.

PS: I'm embarassed to admit that after seeing an HD movie, I actually bought a PS3 much sooner than I was planning just for the BluRay movie capability...

I actually just got mine in today, and I'd say the quality is good. But nowhere near where I had expected it to be and where I had heard it to be. Maybe it's because of my display only being a 37" screen, but I think DiscoveryHD looks much better.
