I spotted a Mercedes Benz SL65 AMG Black Series in all black (body, wheels, tint) heading east on 66 yesterday towards DC, right around the Key Bridge exit. Impressive car, although I'd be hard pressed to drive a $300K+ car in these weather conditions.

 

Probably Ove, he lives over there in Arlington.

 

It was me......that was the loaner I got from Don Beyer Volvo for giving them my station wagon to get some maintenance done on it.....love those guys....

 

Definitely sounds like Ovechkin. I've seen it a few times as well, but never in the wild just always at shows!

 

This was around 4:15pm, I guess he was heading to the rink before the 7:30pm game with the Flyers.

I'd really like to catch him on the road sometime, I've heard he drives like a maniac.

 

Just wait until the next home game and then hang out on the shoulder of 66East and Key Bridge after 4:00pm

 

haha thats definitely ovechkin..i saw him in DC last week, also driving in the rain (with the SL)..and funny, two days ago I saw him in a white S65 with a kit and wheels, after the game vs the flyers..

 

I go to school in arlington...i see OVE all the time, Hes the only matte black SL65 "Black" in the US. He's also got a baller white S63 with body kit. and YES he does drive like a true crazy russian...
